The hair saga continues...

Yesterday when I received the worst haircut of my life, Faith was also due for a trim. However, when the stylist heard the type of cut we were hoping for, an inverted bob, she politely said that she was not experienced enough in that sort of cut but suggested I come back tomorrow when there would be someone in who was. OK...brilliant!! I admire someone who will admit their limitations AND provide a coupon for a discount on our next trip, too!

(Side note: You'd think bells would have been going off in my head at this point as I sat down in this same stylist's chair, wouldn't ya?!?! Call it desperation, I guess...)

So today Faith and I returned to have her hair cut by someone with more years under her belt. So, all 5 kids in tow, (Faith, Josiah, Quinn and Lily and their older brother Tyson), we headed into the salon. And who do you think is there to take our name but Sue. MY Sue!!

OK...I should fill you in on something. Those who are closest to me know that this hair struggle isn't anything new. Ever since I decided to go short, I have had a hard time finding someone who understands my hair's composition and the style that I want to achieve. What's worse, with a cut this short, I need to have it trimmed every month!! So, 4 stylists and a year later I found Sue at the Master Cuts in the Maplewood Mall. Hallelujah!! She had hair just like mine, fine and thin, and also wore a style similar to mine so she knew all about the cut I wanted. My hair felt healthier and I was always much happier after seeing her.

Then, sadly, 2wks ago I found out she no longer worked there. **BOO HOO** I was distraught for about a day, worrying about who I'd find to make me feel good about my hair again. Then the busyness of readying our home for sale started in and time passed very quickly. Yesterday I had just had it!! And thus our visit to the salon.

So, back to Sue. Today we go in to have Faith's hair cut and who checks us in but Sue!! MY Sue!! It turns out that she now works at the very salon Faith and I had our hair cut at and yesterday when I was in for my disastrous hair cut, it was during her regular shift but it just happened to be her day off.

WAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!
